16 ʻAukake 2021
Good morning to all the ʻohana Nāwahī! Welcome back to the 7th and 8th graders who are returning to campus today and the 9th through 12th graders continuing in-person. Let's continue to work together to keep our campus safe and continue to seek knowledge and wisdom. We are so happy to be back in-person this school year. Aloha!
Aloha kākou a pau!
I hope that everyone is safe and healthy despite the challenges we are facing. Given the present state of uncertainty in regards to our community’s health and welfare due to COVID19, Nāwahī will utilize distance learning from Kindergarten through grade 12. Although as a Hawaiian language medium school, Nāwahī is not designed for exclusive distance learning, we are nonetheless, pivioting to make the adjustments necessary to work with the ʻohana in delivering Hawaiian language medium education for students on a distance learning platform. Distance learning will continue through the first quarter of the school year, not just for the first four weeks. We will be alert to changes over time, and teachers will be in communication with families. Additional information is attached.
Mahalo for your continued support and perseverance in our collaborative roles to lift our mission and to ensure our continued success.
