Transportation to Hilo High School for Extra Curricular Activities

Pōmaikaʻi nui kākou! Halihali ʻia nā haumāna Nāwahī papa 9-12 i hoihoi i Hilo High ma hope o ke kula no ke komo i nā papahana kula kūwaho. E hōʻoia i nā lāliʻi a me nā kuleana ʻohana ma lalo iho nei e kau ai:

• Ua kaʻa pono nā kāki ma mua o ka halihali ʻia ma mua o ka lā mua o ka hapahā, 5 ʻAukake 2024:
  • Kāki Hanana Kula DOE ʻo Hilo High he $30 ma ka hoʻomaka o ka makahiki kula. E kākau i pila kīkoʻo iā Hilo High School.
  • Kāki Kula no Nāwahī he $80/makahiki, $20 o ka hapahā pākahi. (Uku ʻenehana)
  • Kāki Halihali ʻĀlapa he $25/hapahā.  ʻAʻole hoʻihoʻi ʻia kālā. (Uku ʻenehana)
• Poʻakahi - Poʻahā  (haʻalele iā Nāwahī @ 2:40pm). ʻAʻohe kaʻawane o ka Poʻalima a me nā lā hoʻokuʻu koke ʻia ka haumāna.
• E hoʻolele ʻia ka haumāna i ʻelua wahi wale nō: i kahi hoʻokū kaʻa ma Hilo High a me Bayfront, kahi o nā hālau waʻa. Inā pono ka haumāna ma kahi ʻē, no ka makua ke kuleana o ka ʻohi a halihali i kahi kūpono.
• He 28 noho e kāinoa ai no ka halihali ʻālapa. Ke paʻa nā noho a pau, e pākuʻi ʻia ka inoa o ka haumāna e koe ana ma ka papa kūkali.
  • E hoʻopihapiha i ka palapala kāinoa no ka hapahā a hoʻihoʻi iā Haliaka ma [email protected]. 
• E makaʻala i ka leka uila me ka pila waiwai kāki halihali ʻālapa. E uku ʻenehana wale nō. 
• No ka haumāna i kaʻa pono i nā kāki a pau ka pōmaikaʻi o ka halihali ʻia.

We are so blessed!  Nāwahī will provide transportation to Hilo High for after school activities for a select number of 9-12 grade Nāwahī students. Please see below for more information and family obligations to participate in this service:

• All financial obligations must be up to date before the first day of the quarter, August 5, 2024:

• Hilo High Fees: $30 at the beginning of the school year. Checks should be written out to Hilo High School.

• Nāwahī Program Fees: $80/year, $20/quarter. (Only digital payments are accepted.) 

• Transportation Fees: non-refundable $25/quarter. (Only digital payments are accepted.)

• Monday through Thursday (depart Nāwahī at 2:40pm). No transportation on Fridays and early release days.
• Transportation will ONLY be to Hilo High School campus parking lot and Bay Front’s canoe paddling parking lot. Parents can meet at these destinations and transport students elsewhere, if needed.  
• There are only 28 seats available. Once all seats are reserved, the student’s name will be added to a waiting list.
• Fill out a registration form for the quarter and submit to Haliaka at [email protected].

• Transportation service invoices will be emailed. Only digital payments will be accepted.  

• Only students who have fulfilled all financial obligations will be allowed transportation privileges.
