My name is Kumu Māhealani and I am the Special Education teacher at Ke Kula ʻO Nāwahīokalaniʻōpuʻu. This will be my second year teaching here as a Special Education Teacher. I attended college at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo and graduated with my BA in Hawaiian Studies in May 2018. Afterwards, I continued my education with Kahuawaiola, a graduate program with UH Hilo to prepare teachers to teach in a Hawaiian immersion setting. I look forward to working with your keiki and helping them wherever they may need.
