Interagency Collaboration

The 1997-98 school year was a transitional year from that of a program under Hilo High School to that of a Laboratory school of the Ka Haka ʻUla O Keʻelikōlani. The diagram below illustrates the collaborative efforts of the University of Hawai’i, the ʻAha Pūnana Leo and the Department of Education.

The intermediate and high school is administered by Hilo High School with Program Development and Direction being the responsibility of the Ka Haka ʻUla O Keʻelikōlani. The ʻAha Pūnana Leo provides, the physical facilities, utilities, Facilities Coordinator, Facilities Assistant and groundkeepers.
